This morning I woke up to the cackling of my sisters. Instead of being a hermit on this wonderful day off I decided to check it out. My sisters came over to have breakfast with my step-mom, who was getting the little girl she babysits ready for an Easter Egg Hunt. She asked if I wanted to go with so I thought it would be fun. I jumped in the shower and went I got out, low and behold there were 6 missed calls from my close friend and a text message that said to call her now.
Feeling of extreme worry came over me so I called her back. Long story short she was freaking out because she thought someone broke into her apartment. She got her locks changed, the whole nine yards. What initiated the whole ordeal? I left a beer can on her bar. However not just a beer can but a Tecate can! I know!lol It is not a brand I normally drink and she didn't see me walk in with it. That's why she didn't think to ask me if it was mine. Hello I was there last night. It did keep me laughing all day. I know she reads my blog so I am sorry for changing beer brands on you. Love ya!
With friend 911 taken care of it was off to the Easter Egg hunt. We had a good time and I got to meet some other nannies. One of my sisters nannies so it was people she knows and my step mom and the child she sits for. All of the kids were so cute and even busted out in unison to the theme song to Hannah Montana. I wish I had a recording of it. Just imagine seven 2 and 3 year olds singing Hannah Montana. Somehow by the end of the early Easter festivities I agreed to go salsa dancing with 5 other nannies. It could be fun, but that will be another blog.
After the hunting and promises of salsa dancing my step mom wanted to make a stop my Kohls. While we were there I agreed to watch the little monster while my step mom shopped. We had fun. She is an adorable 2 yr old girl. We headed straight to the toy section and played with the toys. She was quite fond of a Nerf baseball bat that I said she could carry around. We left the toy section in search of my step mom. While strolling down through kids and juniors department a pretty 20 something red headed woman walked past us. This was a big mistake on her part. The little monster went crazy and started attacking her with the bat. I had to snap myself out of shock and grab the little girl and tell her, "Oh no we don't attack people, it's not nice". The woman turned around laughing and said the little girl was adorable. Without even thinking I replied, "Thanks so are you". I don't even know where that came from. I blushed and hoofed it out of sight dragging the little monster behind me.
