Today was not what I expected it. I had anticipated spending the day in my pajamas and having a lazy day. I guess that was not what the fates had in store for me.
I woke up to loud laughter. I had assumed it was just a dream but the laughs were all so familiar.
A few of my sisters were here having a brunch for my step-mom's birthday/anniversary. Lucky I woke up just in time for food! After that I ended up playing scrabble online with a close friend. It was hours of fun kicking her prat! Which prat means a person's buttocks. I used that word in scrabble.
I ended up chatting with my close friend so we decided to have a picnic and fly kites at Zilker Park. It was really a pleasant afternoon, even though I had to change out of my pajamas. We had pizza and wine. I also picked up some dessert from Whole Foods. After dinner and pleasant conversation we attempted to fly my kite. It is a Japanese goldfish kite that we named Freddie. No matter what we seemed to do the kite would just not fly. Oh well I guess we will have to again tomorrow.
After our "romantic" evening in the park we went to go see "Juno". I freaking love that movie! If you haven't seen it, I strongly recommend it.
