I love Saturdays. It is a day where you are expected to relax and be a bum.
My niece had her first baby girl today! Welcome Ava Rose Pitkin to planet Earth. Life sucks here but you have plenty of people who love you. It really isn't that bad here. Just remember to keep smiling and never take for granted the simple pleasures that life has to offer. Things like family, friends, and of course Starbucks.
I rolled round in bed all morning catching up on some shows on ABC.com. Today it was the crazy antics of Note From the Underbelly. There were only a few episodes online so I rewatched some episodes of Grey's Anatomy. I finally got up to grab some breakfast. Lucky for me my step mom made bean and egg breakfast tacos with homemade tortillas. They are seriously to die for. Legend has it that her breakfast tacos can cause miracles. One time I ate one and I swore I saw Jesus. They are just that powerful.
Since I was feeling guilty from stocking up on celestial tacos and not doing anything I decided to take a walk. My good ole 30 minute stride around the neighborhood. It was refreshing even though I did not see anyone. I thought it a little odd. I usually run into a few fitness folks traipsing about. Never thee mind, it was still delightful. This is simple pleasure I forgot to mention, walking around your neighborhood and enjoying nature.
When I was walking back up to the house my parents drove up. My step mom asked if I wanted to go to Beall's with her. I never turn down the opportunity to be frivolous with my money. Shockingly I did not purchase a thing! I know! I think it was the celestial tacos from earlier that performed this miracle. However I did come across a vintage inspired button up with thick cross stitching that I was on the fence about. The answer became clear when my step mom offered to procure it for me. Yet another simple pleasure, letting people buy stuff for you.
