Friday- Woody Stories

Ahhh! I am falling behind on my blog!

Friday I was back in the class that I was in the day prior. Another easy did with the student teacher teaching. He had me work with the 2nd graders on editing their Woody Stories. Woody is the school's mascot, and they had to come up with a crazy adventure for him to go on. For some reason most of their stories had Woody licking the water fountain, getting sick, going to the nurse, and going home. It is good to see writing in 2nd grade. I learned a lot. Like not to lick a water fountain.

After subbing I went to pick up my suit before heading out to dinner with some of the girls I graduated with. When I got to the suit place my suit was not ready. I was livid and needed to have the suit for the next morning. Needless to say I took care of business. The taylor was called in and altered my suit. He didn't speak English so that was interesting. There was a lot of gestures and pointing. I really need to learn Spanish. It will make me more marketable as a teacher.

That night I went to El Mercado with the girls. We all graduated and most of us are looking for teaching jobs. It's good to have a little support system, people who know what your going through. We had a great time and called it an early night since the RRISD Job Fair was the next day.
