No Doors?

Its funny that I didn't post a blog yesterday, especially since I did basically nothing yesterday. I did sub half day for a librarian at Menchaca Elementary in South Austin. Walking down to halls I was amazed. There were no doors and the top 3 feet of the walls were missing. It was awkward, for lack of a better word. You could hear everything that was going. I would think that it would be distracting for the kids. I did talk to a few of the teachers who really liked it. They said they like it because they can hear their other teammates to keep them on schedule and steal ideas. After the initial shock I was in the library. I read to 2 classes of 1st graders. I love reading to kids. Then for the rest of my time there I filed books. Is filed the right word? Sorted? No! Shelved! There we go. I shelved books for the remainder of my time there. It was boring/fun. I got to flip through tons of books before shelving them.
