Mr. Salsa!

It never fails. There is always one or more students who call me Mr. Salsa. It is not out of respect, they actually think it is Mr. Salsa. I always correct them and we even break apart my name and repeat it several times. So-Sa. So-Sa. So-Sa.

Today at was at a newer school in which my friend Allison works at. I even interviewed for the job Allison got. All bitterness aside, I had some free time to see her teach and she is amazing. The kids are lucky to have her. Her mannerisms and voice she uses with the kids is so teacher. I am so proud of her.

Is was a second grade teacher today with 20 students. They were a great class. Usually I get frustrated with some classes because I have to repeat myself so many times but that was not the case today. I am totally getting in my groove as a teacher. I am learning to think in advance and anticipate any problems that may occur. My expectations are more clear and I have even got a stronger hold on the ever allusive classroom management. I am learning so much about different age levels and myself as a teacher. This just reaffirms my passion for the profession.
