Today was a fantastic day! I am totally getting into my groove as a teacher. I know I said that before but I just have to say it again. Hopefully I am not jinxing myself. I will knock on wood asap.
So this morning on my way to sub at a school in Round Rock I received a call from a really good friend. She had some interesting news to tell me. Let's just say it made me blush as well started my day off to a good start. For the sake of anonymity we will end that story there. Plus I want to keep my blog rated G.lol
Then it was off to the grand school that is Cactus Ranch Elementary. I was in a 4th grade class. It was a departmentalized class so I taught only Language Arts today and I had 2 different classes. I was given a warning that the first class was amazing but the second class would be a handful. I hate when people give warning because it kind of makes me bias. But I was determined to give both classes a fair shot. Good thing that I did because both classes were perfect. I think I might have even like the bad class better.
After school I went to go sign out and the secretary had the clip board. She is an outspoken and witty woman. She was talking to a few other ladies who worked there. There was banter back and forth but I really got along with the ladies there. One even said that they could tell I would fit in perfectly there. So I made sure to mention that I am looking for a teaching job. Let's hope I made a lasting impression.
