The House That Love Built

Happy Mother's Day to all the baby mamas out there!

I woke up obnoxiously early to drive to my grandma's house in Devine, Tx. Devine is on the other side of San Antonio. Devine really has nothing going for it. It is basically a little piece of Mexico. It's about an hour and a half from where I live. I wanted to get there in time to have breakfast with my grandma. My mom and Aunt were already there. So I got to spend Mother's day with with 3 of the most important women in my life. It was definitely a very relaxing trip. There was no cable, no cell phone service, and really no stores worth visiting so family bonding was assured. The house my grandparents live in is a house my grandpa built back in the day. You can tell it's old by looking at it. It needs a lot of work but the atmosphere makes up for it. Every time I visit I feel like I am being transported back to when I was a kid and would visit. I love it there. It's simple. It's home. It's love. We sat around talking, with me doing my best to carry a conversation in Spanish. If you remember, my grandma only speaks Spanish. It is one of those days where not much happened but a day you would always remember. Here are some pictures of my grandparents, my mom, my aunt, my uncle, and me!
